Kilterset, prior to its inception, was a collective of people from the United States, Aotearoa New Zealand, and Australia who formed the Bespoke development team of Trineo. As a consultancy, one half of Trineo focused on addressing customer needs through the Salesforce platform. While Salesforce is a malleable platform, billed as being adaptable to anything, there are challenges which necessitate more finesse, more granular control over technology. For these challenges Trineo had a team that crafted software solutions from the ground up.
In 2021 Trineo was purchased by Traction on Demand, a highly focused Salesforce professional services company, and the largest independent provider of its time. Traction, while focused largely on services growth, had also spun off several successful product companies. These products were a byproduct of repetitive services developed at the intersection of customer needs and technology shortfalls. With the acquisition of Trineo, Traction could bolster both its Salesforce professional services offering as well as its growing product teams.
In 2022 Traction was acquired by Salesforce, and the products, IP and bespoke application development groups were spun out to separate companies. Seeking to leverage a decade plus of experience in identity and bespoke application development and grow a business with a proven team, offering and formula, Kilterset was born.
